Goat Milk Soap Bar / DIY
You mean I can cleanse my skin and nourish it all at the same time?! YES! This recipe is amazing! I have been using it for a while now and love it. It is loaded with very beneficial ingredients for your skin.
There are many purks to this soap, but here are my top favorites:
IT LATHERS FANTASTIC! This soap bar suds up like non other. It is the perfect soap for our whole family when it comes to face/body wash.
IT SMELLS GREAT! You can obviously choose your preferred essential oils to scent your soap bars, but the goat milk soap base itself has a warm, sweet smell.
IT DOESN’T SPOIL. We use homemade foaming hand soap in our home, but you can only make so much at a time due to the fact that it will eventually spoil. I usually just make the foaming soap as I need it, but with the bar soap, you can make a ton to have on hand to save you time.
This recipe has many benefits due to its outstanding ingredients! It is rejuvenating for your skin, does not disturb the skins natural balance or microbiome, and has healing & anti-inflammatory properties. Making it a great soap for acne, dry skin, or eczema.

NATURAL GOAT MILK SOAP RECIPE
1 Pound Goat Milk Soap
2 Tablespoons Honey
50-100 Drops Essential Oils (depending on the strength of the oils used)
Using a double broiler, melt the goat milk soap and honey. Once melted add your choice of essential oils and any additional add ins you want in your soap and stir well to combine. Lightly spray a silicone soap mold with isopropyl alcohol. This will keep your soap from sticking to your silicone mold. Pour the liquid soap into the molds and let set at room temperature until hardened. Mine usually take about 4-6 hours depending on the temperature of our house. Once hardened, remove your soap and enjoy!
My Favorite Essential Oils For Soap
Sandalwood (for a more manly scent)
My Favorite Add Ins
Charcoal
1/2-1 Tablespoon Charcoal
Wisk in charcoal once the soap is melted down. You can different amounts to make the soap more gray (less charcoal) or black (more charcoal).
Coffee
3 Tablespoons Espresso Ground Coffee
Whisk in coffee grounds once the soap is melted down. This will make a more textured soap which is great for removing dead skin cells.
Your options are endless! You can add anything and everything that is beneficial to your skin.
When I make my soap bars I use a silicone soap loaf. For this you will need to 2.5 times the recipe. It will make 10 bars of soap.
Soap Loaf Recipe
2.5 Pounds Goat Milk Soap
5 Tablespoon (1/4 C + 1 Tbl) Honey
125-250 Drops Essential Oil (depending on the strength of the oils used)
I continue to fall in love with this recipe. It is simple and yet so lovely. I also enjoy how open it leaves your options regarding things to add in. You can do a honey oat soap or a rosemary Lavendar. Options are endless!
Happy soap making!
