Best Natural Dry Shampoo Ever

Another day has come and gone, and the energy left in my tank is flashing low. The kids are tucked in bed and the dog is fed. I am ready to crawl under my warm covers and relax for the night. The shower looms in front of me like a giant brick wall in my path to relaxation. It is a necessity I wish I could skip. Some people, like my husband, enjoy their showers…not me. I see them as a waste of time. Yet, I love the feeling of being clean going to bed, so I take a daily shower. To make my shower short once again tonight, I skip washing my hair.

Most busy moms, especially those of young children, live on dry shampoo! We love it like it’s a divine chocolate crafted by Willy Wonka and use it like our lives depended on it. Literally, one of the best inventions created for a busy mama!

Even for those not running low on energy and time, washing your hair every day is not something you maybe enjoy and as a matter of fact, it is very unhealthy for your hair to be washed all the time. Washing our hair strips away its natural nutrients and our conditioner rarely does an ample job of replenishing them. So even if you are not a busy mama, you can use this incredible dry shampoo recipe to change your hair health and ease up your daily hair routine.

Dry shampoo found in an aerosol can from Walmart is loaded with toxic chemicals and lots of other unwanted ingredients. Why would I want to put this on my brain and then breath some of it in as I spray down my head? Nope. No thanks.

I sought out for homemade dry shampoo recipe and created one that I instantaneously fell in love with! You can adjust it to be made for all hair colors, and its ingredients not only do not harm your body, but they are actually beneficial for your skin!

NATURAL DRY SHAMPOO RECIPE

Blonde/Gray Hair

Brunette Hair

Red Hair

Directions

Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container. I use these Plastic Cosmetic Jars. To apply to my hair, I use a makeup brush. I dab the brush in the container and tap off any excess onto the lid (flipped upside down to catch what comes off). Then dab it into your hair along the roots and use your fingers to work it into your scalp. I then rub the brush around on the lid to pick up the extra that fell off earlier or dab the brush back in the container for more.

I also love that this dry shampoo adds some texture and a little bit of volume to my hair. My hair is naturally flat, and this dry shampoo makes it look so much fuller.

As another day comes and goes, and the energy left in your tank is flashing low. Don’t let the shower loom in front of you like a giant brick wall in your path to relaxation. Simply jump through and wash up your body quick, knowing that your outstanding dry shampoo has got your back in the morning!
